HVAC Service Technician

Location: Based in Adelaide (Woodville HQ), with oversight of metro & regional operations

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated HVAC / Refrigeration Service Technician to join our growing team.

This hands-on role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, efficiency, innovation and quality for our clients across South Australia.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining critical assets, supporting apprentices, and ensuring safety and compliance on every job, all while representing a company that takes pride in doing things the right way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Air conditioning and refrigeration and associated components.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, complete adjustments, and replace parts as required.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, safety documentation, and asset condition records.
  • Adhere to all site and company WHS procedures, including JSEAs, SWMS, and permit systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments prior to works and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Supervise and mentor apprentices, promoting safe and compliant work practices.
  • Liaise with clients, office staff, and management to ensure clear communication.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend rosters
  • FIFO/ADHOC opportunities available

About You

You’re a skilled HVAC technician who takes pride in your work, values safety, and delivers quality service every time. You’re self-motivated, adaptable, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a professional team.

You’ll bring:

  • Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent)
  • Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Willing and able to obtain a Defence Clearance Access Card (DCAC)
  • Valid Working with Children’s clearance
  • Proven experience in HVAC fault finding, maintenance, and repair
  • Collaboration with BMS and Mechanical sub-contractors for routine maintenance and repair
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices, compliance and updating of SWMS documentation for any variations of works.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to mentor apprentices and uphold high standards

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Central Plant and BMS experience     
  • Electrical licence (Unrestricted A-class)
  • High Risk Work Licence (EWP, etc.) If required, training will be provided
  • First Aid / CPR certification If required, training will be provided
  • Valid SAPOL clearance
  • Familiarity with digital job management systems
  • Previous experience in government or regulated environments
