Position Description – Auto Electrician

API Auto Electrical Position Title: Auto Electrician (Qualified Tradesman)

Purpose of Role:

To carry out high-quality diagnostics, repairs, and installations while maintaining strong standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

– Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems (12V & 24V)

– Perform electrical installations including accessories

– Use diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams

– Maintain high quality workmanship and safety standards.

Essential Requirements:

– Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent)

– Fully qualified Auto Electrician (Tradesman)

– Minimum 3+ years post-trade experience

– Ability to provide proof of qualifications and experience

– Current driver’s licence

Salary: $45 – $55 per hour (depending on 3month probation this could go up)
