Warehouse Storeperson – Picker/Packer Positions Available

Apex Steel Supplies is one of South Australia’s leading manufacturers and distributors of steel products, servicing both domestic and commercial markets. Our product range includes roofing, gutters, downpipes, purlins, fencing and structural steel.

Due to continued business growth, we currently have multiple Warehouse Storeperson – Picker/Packer positions available across both Day Shift and Afternoon Shift within our Structural Steel team. We are seeking reliable, hardworking and safety-focused individuals to join our team. These roles will involve picking, packing, stacking, and preparing structural steel products for customer orders and dispatch.

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack structural steel products in accordance with customer orders
• Pick, stack, relocate and replenish structural steel products
• Prepare orders for dispatch
• Operate scanning equipment for inventory control
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Operate various types of forklifts
• Perform manual handling and general warehouse duties
• Adhere to all OHS and workplace safety procedures at all times
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

• A strong understanding of OHS and warehouse safety requirements
• Previous experience in a picker/packer, warehouse or manufacturing role
• Previous experience in the steel or manufacturing industry highly desirable
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) desirable
• Gantry Crane Licence (CB) highly desirable
• Experience using scanners and inventory systems
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• A positive attitude, with a proactive and safety-first mindset
