The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing clinical team.
This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working independently in the community while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will provide high-quality clinical care to participants with complex health and disability needs across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Develop and review person-centred nursing care plans.
- Provide continence assessments and management.
- Deliver wound assessments and ongoing wound care.
- Perform catheter management (IDC/SPC).
- Support bowel care management programs.
- Administer medications and provide clinical interventions within scope of practice.
- Monitor participant health and identify changes requiring escalation.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes.
- Collaborate with support workers, allied health professionals, families, and external healthcare providers.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to disability support workers when required.
- Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies, and current evidence-based practice.
Essential Criteria
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ post-registration nursing experience (community nursing experience highly regarded).
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex clinical needs.
- Sound knowledge of wound care, continence management, catheter care, and bowel care.
- Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
