We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who is passionate about community nursing and enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive clinical team.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care to participants in their homes and within the community, ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered in line with best practice and NDIS requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Develop and review individualised nursing care plans.
- Wound assessment and management.
- Continence assessments and management.
- Catheter care (IDC/SPC).
- Bowel care management.
- Medication management and clinical interventions.
- Monitor participant health and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Liaise with support workers, families, GPs, specialists, and allied health professionals.
- Provide guidance and clinical support to disability support workers when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience (community nursing highly regarded).
- Experience working with participants who have complex clinical needs.
- Excellent assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- National Police Check.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
