As we execute our 2030 Strategy and continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the performance, transformation and future development of our operational businesses.

 

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be accountable for the safe, reliable and commercially successful delivery of our Water and Energy operations, while helping to shape the long-term strategic direction of the organisation.

 

This role carries broad executive responsibility across operational performance, infrastructure and asset management, customer outcomes, regulatory engagement, commercial delivery, safety, and organisational capability.

 

The successful candidate will lead through a capable operational leadership team and will play a critical role in creating alignment, accountability and execution across the business.

 

The Mandate

 

The Chief Operating Officer will:

  • Deliver outstanding operational performance across Water and Energy.
  • Lead the execution of strategic priorities and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence, customer outcomes and sustainable growth.
  • Oversee significant operational and capital investment programs.
  • Build trusted relationships with regulators, developers, customers, suppliers and government stakeholders.
  • Strengthen organisational capability and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Champion innovation, continuous improvement and operational resilience.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, governance and compliance.

 

The Executive We Are Seeking

 

You are a proven executive leader who combines strategic vision with operational discipline.

 

You will bring substantial experience leading complex operational environments within utilities, infrastructure, energy, water or closely related sectors, together with a demonstrated track record of delivering commercial results, leading transformational change and developing high-performing teams.

 

Equally important is your ability to influence at Board and Executive level, navigate regulatory environments, build confidence with stakeholders and create a culture where people are empowered, accountable and focused on delivering outcomes.

 

You are recognised for your judgement, credibility and leadership presence, and have a reputation for turning strategy into action.
