Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Secondary Teacher to join our team in Auburn, New South Wales. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in their mathematical journey. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the Australian Curriculum requirements and cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative testing and provide timely feedback, offering support and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices within the department.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress, addressing any concerns as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
  • Recognised Australian teaching qualification (e.g., Graduate Diploma in Education) and a current NESA accreditation number.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student success.
