Alliance SI is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical and communications projects and site teams across Brisbane and South East Queensland. This is not a role focused on only one type of project. You will work across a varied portfolio that may include commercial construction, industrial facilities, infrastructure, critical environments, communications and specialist electrical installations. You will be supported by experienced project managers, operations leaders and technical staff, while having the responsibility and autonomy to manage your site effectively.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of electrical and communications works on site.
  • Leading electricians, technicians, apprentices and subcontractors.
  • Planning labour, materials, equipment and upcoming work activities.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, programs and scopes of work.
  • Coordinating works with customers, builders, other trades and project stakeholders.
  • Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks, site inspections and safety observations.
  • Ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitoring productivity, project progress and labour performance.
  • Identifying project risks, variations, delays and design issues early.
  • Communicating clearly with project managers and operations teams.
  • Managing testing, commissioning, defects and project completion activities.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, timesheets, testing documentation and progress information.
  • Coaching and developing apprentices and less-experienced team members.
  • Remaining hands-on and assisting the team when required.

About you

You will ideally have:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence.
  • Current ACMA Open Cabling Registration, with Structured and/or Fibre endorsements highly regarded.
  • Current driver licence.
  • Construction White Card.
  • CPR and Low Voltage Rescue qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising commercial, industrial or infrastructure electrical works.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project programs.
  • Experience planning labour, materials and daily site activities.
  • Strong communication, leadership and client-facing skills.
  • A proactive, organised approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
