Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong engineering and technical background to join our project delivery team, leading the end-to-end execution of major renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
This role is accountable for overall project planning, delivery, and performance across safety, cost, schedule, quality, and stakeholder management. Acting as the key interface between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership, you will lead multidisciplinary site teams and ensure successful project outcomes from mobilisation through to completion.
This is a site-based leadership role requiring a hands-on approach, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to drive high-performance project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver construction projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure effective coordination and execution of works.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and delivery plans, tracking progress against key milestones and performance targets.
- Act as the primary client interface, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, safety, quality, and environmental obligations.
- Manage project financial performance including cost tracking, forecasting, variations, and progress claims.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks in collaboration with senior construction and engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting innovation across project delivery.
- Oversee site audits, inspections, and HSE compliance requirements.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to internal leadership and clients, including progress reports, commercial notices, and project updates.
Key Skills and Experience
- Degree in Engineering or relevant trade qualification with a minimum of 7-10 years’ construction project management experience.
- Strong engineering or technical background with demonstrated experience delivering complex infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, HV infrastructure highly regarded).
- Formal Project Management training (or equivalent experience) with proven delivery of multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Strong commercial acumen including financial management, reporting, variations, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ability to manage pressure, solve complex problems, and drive team performance in dynamic environments.
- Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
