About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate and empathetic Disability Support Workers across multiple client programs in the Sydney West and South West areas to provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support to our clients with their daily routines and skills in the group home and community to encourage independence, including but not limited to, Community Access/Social Support, Personal care, Domestic duties, Medication administration, Meal preparation
- Understand and perform all tasks in line with the Clients Support Plans within scope of duties
- Provided High Intensity Supports as per Clients Support Plans, including but not limited to: Complex Bowel Care, Enteral Feeding Support, Dysphagia Support, Ventilator Support, Urinary Catheter Support
Multiple client locations including:
- Westmead, Guildford, Marayong and Baulkham Hills
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with people with disability and supporting a participant with high intensity support needs
- Availability for sleepovers and early mornings
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current WWCC (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current Driver License and access to reliable vehicle
- MUST be flexible with your availability for shifts on a 24/7 roster (including sleepovers and active nights)
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
