The Role

With significant ongoing security contracts and continued growth, we are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

As a Draftsperson/Project Administrator, you will play a key role in our organisation, contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile security projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design & drafting – Create detailed plans, equipment layouts, electrical schematics, and cabling schedules.
  • Project documentation – Prepare and coordinate Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for customer projects.
  • Document control & Quality Assurance – Manage design standards, document control, and Quality Assurance processes to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Design briefs – Develop and execute design briefs aligned with project goals and customer expectations.
  • Collaboration & communication – Work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to develop and refine detailed designs.
  • Technical decision-making – Make informed design decisions and effectively communicate technical concepts to customers.
  • Project support – Participate in project meetings, briefings, and site inspections to prepare plans, drawings, and design documentation.

About You

Key skills & attributes

  • Technical proficiency – Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and project plans.
  • Drafting & project delivery – Experience with AutoCAD and a background in project execution.
  • Software skills – Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related digital tools.
  • Communication & collaboration – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Time management – Excellent task prioritization skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Professionalism – Organised, reliable, and well-presented, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Safety awareness – Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Adaptability & growth mindset – Willingness to learn new technologies and undertake further training as needed.
  • Education & experience – A qualification, certification, or demonstrated experience in engineering, electrical, or drafting.
  • Project administration – Project administration experience is advantageous, not essential.

  • Australian driver’s licence (required)
  • Police check certificate (required)
  • White card (preferred but not essential)
