About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Height Safety Technician to perform annual inspection and testing of height safety systems. This role contributes to providing a service to our clients that enables safe access for the client and third parties to maintain plant and equipment on their sites and perform general maintenance activities safely.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Inspect, test and certify height safety equipment in accordance with AS/NZS 1891 Series
- Industrial Fall Arrest Systems and Devices, AS/NZS 4488 Series
- Industrial Rope Access Systems and,
- AS 1657 Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways and Ladders – Design, Construction and Installation.
- Write reports and prepare site diagrams for inspections
- Records Management, including reports, site notes, drawings, correspondence, completed SWMS, and photographs.
About you:
- To be successful in this role you will bring:
- ·Must hold and maintain a current driver’s license during the term of your employment.
- ·Working Safely at Heights (if not held already, be willing to attend a course to obtain certificate).
- General Construction Induction (if not held already, be willing to attend a course to obtain certificate).
- Must be able to pass a police check every two years and hold (and renew) working with children check
- ·High level of computer skills using Microsoft Office suite
- ·Experience working in the height safety industry installing height safety equipment or alternatively trade based skills sets would be highly regarded
