Looking for More Than Just Admin?

Looking for a flexible role that offers variety, purpose and genuine work-life balance?

We’re seeking an adaptable and proactive Administration Officer to join our Business Support Services team. This is not a traditional administration role. No two days are the same, and you’ll play an important role in supporting our staff, clients and stakeholders while helping keep the organisation running smoothly.

This role may particularly appeal to parents balancing family commitments, students seeking practical workplace experience, or experienced administrators looking for meaningful part-time work.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible Hours That Fit Your Life – School-friendly and flexible work arrangements available.
  • Variety Beyond Traditional Administration – Support events, projects, operations and business activities.
  • Make a Difference Every Day – Help protect the rights of older people and people with disability.
  • Salary Packaging Benefits – Increase your take-home pay through not-for-profit salary packaging.
  • Professional Development Opportunities – Gain exposure to governance, operations and project support.
  • Supportive Team Culture – Join a collaborative team that values initiative, flexibility and contribution.

About ADA Australia

ADA Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation advocating for the rights and wellbeing of older people and people with disability across Queensland.

For more than 30 years, we’ve delivered advocacy, information and education services that empower people to understand their rights, make informed decisions and have their voices heard.

About the Role

As one of the first points of contact for ADA Australia, you’ll provide administrative, customer service and operational support across the organisation.

You’ll:

  • Provide administration and customer service support across multiple teams.
  • Assist with phone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Coordinate training events and organisational activities.
  • Maintain records, databases and business systems.
  • Support office operations, travel bookings and fleet administration.
  • Assist with projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You enjoy variety and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities. You’re organised, proactive and adaptable, with a strong customer service focus and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys supporting a broad range of business activities rather than a highly structured, routine administrative workload.

You Will Bring

  • Experience and/or qualifications in business administration, reception or customer service.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience maintaining records, databases and administrative systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism and confidentiality.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a not-for-profit, community services, health, aged care or disability services environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Current driver’s licence.
  • National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to travel between our Geebung and Woolloongabba offices as required.
