Description

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Product Owner to maximise value delivery across our digital platforms. Reporting to the Platform Experience Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product strategy into clear outcomes, define requirements, and drive iterative delivery using modern Agile practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about user experience, data-informed decision-making, and bringing clarity to complex, ambiguous problem spaces while progressing toward broader product management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery and Backlog Ownership

· Own and prioritise the backlog to ensure the team delivers the highest-value work first.

· Write epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and success measures.

· Facilitate and contribute to Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives) to maintain delivery momentum, shared understanding, and an Agile mindset across the team.

· Liaise with Engineering and Design to refine scope, assess feasibility, and sequence delivery.

· Continuously improve delivery quality, predictability, and throughput aligned to roadmap priorities.

Product Definition and Documentation

· Collaborate from discovery through launch with Engineering, Design/UX, Data/Analytics, and Go-To-Market teams.

· Measure UX/UI decisions against goals, accessibility, and product intent.

· Create and maintain product documentation, release notes, and internal enablement materials.

User-Centric Mindset

· Be mindful that we deliver value to the user, not just features.

· Occasionally support the Platform Manager with discovery activities (interviews, workshops, usability testing, experiments) and synthesize findings into actionable insights.

· Ensure solutions are intuitive, accessible, and integrated into end-to-end user workflows.

Roadmap and Strategic Alignment

· Contribute to a transparent roadmap that balances customer value, business outcomes, and delivery effort.

· Surface dependencies, risks, and sequencing to enable effective planning across teams.

· Align squad work to platform vision, OKRs, and broader organizational priorities.

· Engage stakeholders regularly to communicate progress, trade-offs, and learnings.

Core Skills and Experience

Interpersonal and Collaboration

· Clear, structured communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

· Ability to drive clarity in ambiguity and maintain shared context across teams.

· Strong facilitation, negotiation, and active listening skills.

· Customer-centric mindset and focus on measurable outcomes.

Specialist and Technical

· Proficient in Agile delivery and iterative, outcomes-focused practices (Scrum/Kanban).

· Proficient with delivery, collaboration, and analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, AI assistants).

· Comfortable with technical concepts (APIs, integrations, data flows) and using data/AI to inform decisions.

· Demonstrated experience using AI tools for prompting, including drafting requirements, summarising research, and generating hypotheses; able to craft effective prompts, validate outputs, and ensure responsible, privacy-conscious use.

Preferred Background

· 2–4 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or related digital delivery roles.

· Demonstrated experience delivering customer-facing platforms within Agile teams.

· Familiarity with human-centered design, design systems, or user research practices.
