Warehouse / Forklift Operator (Casual/Fixed-Term Contract)

The Role

Based in Salisbury South (SA), as a Warehouse/Forklift Operator, you will be a part of the Production Team and contribute to the effective production of the plant by adhering to EH&S, Quality and Operational and Continuous Improvement policies. 

Responsibilities

• Accurate forklift driving to ensure the movement of stock within the factory and loading and unloading of vehicles and/or trucks is undertaken accurately and in a timely manner
• Receive deliveries and undertake associated paperwork
• Assist in the final packing area and additional duties as needed
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within the required time frame
• Able to follow instructions as specified by supervisors and management

 Requirements

 The successful candidate will need to:

• Safety-minded with a priority on safety to guarantee the well-being of people, equipment, and products
• Hold a current Forklift license and certification
• Proven experience in driving at least a 2.5 tonne forklift
• Great work ethic and sense of teamwork
• Ability to follow direction, work as a team and independently
• Excellent time management, attention to detail and organisational skills
• Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety practices
• Proactive in identifying issues and suggesting alternative processes
