This role is all about managing returned products from start to finish — assessing stock, processing returns, recovering usable products and parts, maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring damaged products are handled safely.

Your Mission

As a Returns Officer, you’ll take ownership of returned products and make sure every item is accurately assessed, documented and processed.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Receiving, assessing and processing returned products
  • Recording serial numbers, batch information, photos, videos and test results where required
  • Managing Return-to-Sender (RTS) stock
  • Returning approved products to inventory and designated storage locations
  • Identifying products that can be recovered, repaired or used for spare parts
  • Stripping products to recover usable components where required
  • Managing spare-parts inventory and stock movements
  • Safely disposing of damaged or non-recoverable products
  • Completing cycle counts and maintaining stock accuracy
  • Managing returns and claims-related email enquiries
  • Escalating recurring product faults and quality concerns
  • Maintaining accurate system records, stock adjustments and documentation
  • Working with Warehouse, Product Quality, Supplier Claims and IT teams to resolve issues
  • Following all WHS, Chain of Responsibility and company safety requirements

What Does Success Look Like?

You’ll play an important part in keeping our returns operation efficient and accurate, with a focus on:

  • Processing an average of 75 mixed pallet return items per day
  • Maintaining high levels of processing and inventory accuracy
  • Maximising recovery of seconds, spare parts and recoverable stock
  • Supporting the reduction of warehouse write-offs
  • Maintaining 100% compliance with lithium battery safety and handling procedures
  • Completing returns reporting and stock adjustments within required timeframes
  • Identifying and escalating product quality issues quickly
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

  • You’re organised and have excellent attention to detail
  • You’re comfortable using computers and warehouse management systems
  • You can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • You’re confident assessing products and following processes
  • You take ownership of your work and maintain accurate records
  • You understand the importance of workplace safety and safe manual handling
  • You’re comfortable performing physical warehouse duties, including regular lifting, packing and moving of products
  • You enjoy problem-solving and identifying opportunities to improve processes

A valid Refrigerant Handling Licence is required for the role, with training provided.
