Role Type
Description
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Community & Events Manager to build and lead 2XU’s community programs, events and consumer brand experiences.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you’ll bring the 2XU brand to life through community programs, as well as major event partnerships, pop-ups, brand activations and retail community initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to turn a great idea into a seamless experience. You’ll manage everything from activation plans, agencies and budgets through to on-the-ground execution and post-event reporting, ensuring our community activity drives participation, advocacy and measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Community Programs
Build and operate 2XU’s owned community programs and training sessions. You’ll design engaging programs that encourage repeat participation and advocacy, while creating scalable playbooks that can be rolled out across global markets, retail stores and distributors.
Global Events, Experiences & Partnership Activations
Lead the planning and execution of community and activation deliverables across global event partnerships and programs, including the 2XU Wellness Run and TriSeries. You’ll develop activation plans and run sheets, coordinate athletes, partners and agencies, and deliver memorable brand experiences connected to campaigns, product launches and cultural moments.
Retail Activations & Local Area Marketing
Partner with the Retail team to build a Local Area Marketing framework that strengthens store connections with local communities. You’ll plan and deliver store openings, in-store events, community sessions and local outreach initiatives designed to increase foot traffic, brand advocacy and conversion.
Commercial Performance & Measurement
Connect community and event activity to measurable retail and eCommerce outcomes. You’ll monitor participation, retention, lead capture, conversion and return on investment, providing clear post-event reporting and recommendations for future activity.
Budgets, Agencies & Delivery
Manage the community and events calendar and budget, ensuring activations are delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high brand standard. You’ll brief and manage external agencies, event partners, suppliers and community organisations throughout delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 6 years’ experience in events, community marketing or brand activations, ideally within sport or a community-led consumer brand
- Demonstrated experience building community programs that increase participation, engagement and retention
- Strong operational capability and the ability to deliver complex events and activations seamlessly
- A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how community engagement can drive sales, conversion and repeat behaviour
- Strong project management skills across timelines, budgets, run sheets, suppliers and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across internal teams, agencies, partners and regional markets
- Experience in retail activations or Local Area Marketing will be highly regarded
- A genuine passion for sport, performance and the 2XU brand
- Flexibility to regularly work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as required to support events, activations and community programs. This is an inherent and frequent requirement of the role.
This is an opportunity to own and shape how 2XU shows up within our communities. You’ll work across some of our most exciting events, partnerships and brand experiences, with the freedom to create programs that bring people together and deliver genuine commercial impact.
If you’re a natural community builder, an exceptional event operator and someone who loves turning bold ideas into memorable experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
