The Senior Installer – Hoarding is a hands-on installation role for an experienced construction professional looking to take the next step into leadership. Working closely with the Construction Manager, this role is responsible for installing, maintaining and dismantling hoarding systems while supporting the coordination of crews, larger projects and major event works.
This position is ideal for someone with strong construction site experience, confidence using hand and power tools, and the ability to lead by example on site. The successful candidate will assist in running jobs, coordinating small crews, maintaining quality and safety standards, and acting as a key link between site stakeholders and Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Installation
- Construct, install, maintain and dismantle solid timber hoarding systems
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and installation equipment
- Load, unload and transport materials between sites
- Assist with site preparation, set out and completion of works
- Maintain high quality workmanship and attention to detail on all projects
Crew Support & Leadership Development
- Support the coordination of installers on site and assist with daily task allocation
- Lead by example through safe work practices, productivity and professionalism
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members
- Step into a crew leadership role when required
- Support the delivery of larger projects and event installations
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with WHS requirements
- Identify and report hazards and unsafe work practices
- Participate in toolbox talks and site safety activities
- Maintain compliance with site-specific and company requirements
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise professionally with builders, site managers, contractors and suppliers
- Assist with resolving on-site installation issues
- Communicate project updates and requirements to the Construction Manager
Administration & Reporting
- Complete job paperwork accurately and on time
- Record site variations, stock usage and completed works
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues and stock shortages
- Assist with documentation required for invoicing and project completion
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in construction, hoarding, fencing, carpentry, events infrastructure or a similar installation environment
- Strong experience using hand and power tools
- Experience leading small crews or coordinating jobs on site
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative
- A reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic
- Good physical fitness and willingness to perform manual work daily
- A current driver’s licence
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Experience reading site plans and coordinating site works (desirable)
