Job Description: Dog Walker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a flexible and reliable individual with a genuine passion for animals to join our team as a Dog Walker. As a dog walker, you will be responsible for providing exercise and companionship to dogs in the Glasgow area. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours.

Some weekend work may be required.

Skills:

- Strong love and understanding of dogs

- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments

- Excellent time management skills

- Reliability and commitment to providing exceptional care

- Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

- Walk dogs on designated routes in accordance with their specific needs

- Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog under your care

- Provide exercise, playtime, and socialization opportunities for dogs during walks

- Maintain control over multiple dogs at once while ensuring their comfort and safety (using leashes or other appropriate equipment)

- Clean up after dogs during walks as required (carrying waste bags, disposing of waste properly)

- Report any health or behavioral concerns observed during walks to the owner or supervisor

Qualifications:

- Must be over 17 years old (to comply with legal requirements)

- Possession of a valid driving license (as driving is necessary for transporting the dogs)

- Access to own car is essential

Please note that this job description requires someone who can drive and has access to their own car. The individual must also be at least 17 years old.

Training will be provided, schedules provided a week in advance.

DBS check will be required.
