This role sits in our Cellular Infrastructure division, which delivers the technology elements of UK mobile network programmes: rigging, antennas and radios, power and electrical, microwave transmission, small cells, commissioning and decommissioning. The division is new and growing, so you will help shape how it works as it scales.

The Role

You will install, align and cut over the microwave links that carry mobile traffic, and support our rigging teams on site. You will:

• Carry out line-of-sight surveys and confirm mounting positions
• Install dishes, indoor and outdoor units and supporting hardware
• Align links at both ends to the planned received signal level
• Configure, commission and acceptance test links and carry out cutovers in agreed windows
• Diagnose and fix link faults, and carry out upgrades and decommissioning
• Work as second person on rigging builds when required

About You

• Proven experience installing, aligning and commissioning microwave links
• A sound understanding of link budgets, frequency plans and Ethernet and IP
• EUSR MATS climb and rescue, or equivalent (we can fund this for the right candidate)
• RF awareness and emergency first aid at height
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and stay away

Highly desirable: manufacturer training such as Ericsson MINI-LINK, 4G and 5G backhaul upgrade experience, rooftop access, IPAF and a CSCS card.
