2027 SEASON | SEASONAL POSITION – EXTENDED SEASON | WARDEN COUPLE

About the Role

Plas Uchaf Caravan and Camping Park is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated Warden Couple to join our team for the 2027 season.

This is an exciting opportunity for a couple who enjoy working outdoors, meeting people and taking pride in maintaining a high-quality holiday park. Located close to Benllech on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, Plas Uchaf is a family-friendly caravan and camping park committed to providing guests with an enjoyable holiday experience and maintaining excellent site standards.

Working alongside another Warden Couple, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the park, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to a consistently high standard and that guests receive a friendly, professional and welcoming service.

As we have a static holiday home owner base, their season runs 1st March through to 4th January annually, therefore this warden couple will be hands on throughout the whole park opening period.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Maintenance and Groundskeeping

• Carry out general site maintenance and groundskeeping duties.
• Operate ride-on mowers and strimmers to maintain grassed areas and grounds.
• Keep the park, pitches, pathways and communal areas clean, tidy and well presented.
• Clean toilet and shower blocks to an exceptionally high standard.
• Undertake daily cleaning and maintenance of all site facilities.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, taking appropriate action where necessary.
• Help ensure the park consistently meets its 5-star presentation and cleanliness standards.

2. Guest Services and Administration

• Act as the friendly and professional first point of contact for guests.
• Welcome arriving guests and assist with check-in and departure procedures.
• Escort guests to their allocated pitches and ensure caravans and motorhomes are positioned in accordance with site safety guidelines.
• Handle telephone enquiries, bookings, emails and general guest requests.
• Assist with the day-to-day administration of the park, including the use of computer-based booking systems.
• Provide helpful information and assistance to ensure guests enjoy their stay.
• Deal with guest queries or complaints calmly, professionally and tactfully.
• Enforce site rules politely but firmly to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

3. Site Security and General Operations

• Carry out evening site patrols to ensure the park remains safe and secure.
• Participate in an on-call rota and respond to guest needs or emergencies when required.
• Monitor site activity and report any concerns or incidents to management.
• Work closely with management and the other Warden Couple to ensure the smooth running of the park.
• Demonstrate flexibility and initiative in responding to the changing needs of the business.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicants will ideally demonstrate the following:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good computer literacy, including confidence using desktop computers, emails and online booking systems.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and cleaning.
• Good levels of physical fitness and the ability to undertake active outdoor work.
• Confidence operating groundskeeping equipment, particularly ride-on mowers and strimmers.
• Previous experience in a caravan or camping park, holiday park or similar hospitality environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A full, valid UK driving licence is required.

Working Arrangements

Position – Warden Couple

Location – Plas Uchaf Caravan and Camping Park, near Benllech, Isle of Anglesey

Contract period – Mid-February 2027 – Early January 2028

Working pattern – Three days on / Three days off (during main season) & Monday – Friday (November to January)

Rotation – Shared three-day rotation with another Warden Couple

Pitch with Utilities Included – Must have own caravan/motorhome
