Banbury, SouthEast OX16, United Kingdom • Full-time

Role Type

Pay Rate

£55,000 GBP – £65,000 GBP (Annum)

Description

eSIM Go is a UK-based, investor-backed eSIM and MVNO scaleup, pioneering digital mobile connectivity for travellers around the world. As Breeze — our travel eSIM brand — scales, we need a Financial Controller who can turn financial control into a genuine competitive advantage, not just keep the lights on.

About Breeze

Breeze is a travel eSIM company helping people stay connected wherever they go. Customers buy a data plan that installs straight onto their phone in minutes — no physical SIM, no roaming bills, no fuss. Breeze operates as part of the wider eSIM Go group, drawing on its global eSIM network while building its own brand and customer base in the travel market.

The opportunity

You’ll take end-to-end ownership of financial control for Breeze — the balance sheet, the close, treasury and tax compliance — and act as the CFO’s right hand on the entity, with a clear path to deputising for them on financial control matters. You’ll join an existing Financial Controller, both reporting to the CFO, with this role dedicated to Breeze.

We’re open to fully remote or hybrid working. Our head office is in Banbury, UK, and hybrid candidates are welcome to work from there as much or as little as suits them.

What you’ll own

  • Management information and reporting. Breeze’s management accounts, board pack input and reporting calendar — accurate, on time, and explained before anyone has to ask.
  • Margin and profitability. Gross and contribution margin by product, partner and channel, plus first-line financial input into pricing and commercial terms.
  • Cross-functional business partnering. Fixing reporting issues at source with the teams that own them, not just reconciling around them.
  • Month-end close and balance sheet control. A controlled, documented close with every material balance reconciled, reviewed and supported.
  • Statutory reporting, audit and tax. UK VAT, OSS VAT and statutory compliance for Breeze, staying audit-ready year-round.
  • Systems, automation and controls. Simplifying and automating recurring finance processes to remove manual risk as we grow.

What we’re looking for

  • Sector experience. Telecoms or SaaS industry background is a strong plus — you understand fast-moving, subscription or usage-based commercial models.
  • Scaleup experience — essential. You’ve worked in an investor-backed, high-growth or start-up environment and know what good financial control looks like when the business is changing month to month.
  • Qualified accountant. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong technical grounding and a genuinely commercial outlook.
  • Process automation. A track record of simplifying and automating recurring finance processes to remove manual risk.
  • Communication and business partnering. You can explain the numbers to non-finance stakeholders without translation.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary. £55,000–£65,000, depending on experience.
  • Holiday. 25 days’ annual leave, increasing after 5 years’ service.
  • Family. Enhanced family policies.
  • Bonus. Discretionary annual bonus.
