Summary:

As a People Business Partner in our engineering firm, you will play a crucial role in aligning our human resources strategy with business objectives. This position is based in Gravesend and focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture while supporting employee development and engagement. Your expertise will be vital in driving initiatives that enhance organisational performance and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Facilitate training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and career progression.
  • Conduct performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback sessions.
  • Support recruitment efforts by advising on job descriptions, candidate selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Analyse employee data to identify trends and recommend improvements in HR practices.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within the engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
