Senior Systems Engineer

Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide advanced technical support in the operational delivery of our Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint, Azure, and network environments.

You’ll deliver Level 3 service desk support, manage device and network configuration, support technical projects, maintain documentation, and work with vendors. This is a hands on role with significant scope to influence stability, security, and service quality across our systems. This position works across two partner organisations – Health Hawke’s Bay and Tū Ora Compass Health.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Computer Science) and/or Microsoft certification. An ITIL qualification would be a bonus!
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft/Office 365, Azure, Teams Telephony and network/cloud implementation and management.
  • Proven experience engaging with software vendors and handling Level 3 service tickets
  • A track record of delivering high quality work within operational timeframes
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean, simple, and highly secure system architecture
  • The ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach to resolving complex technical issues
  • A high degree of autonomy, with the ability to lead and contribute to projects within the team
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence

You will have a sound knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be an advocate of our organisations’ strategy with a commitment to growing your skills in this area.
