Community Dietitian

Description

Are you a Dietitian passionate about improving nutrition and Hauora in our communities? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

This role delivers dietetic and nutrition services across our Primary Care Network. Working closely with the Long-Term Conditions team, you will provide culturally responsive clinical dietetic support, with a strong focus on Māori, Pasifika, refugee communities, and low-decile areas.

You will work directly with individuals, whānau, and community groups through:

  • Clinic-based consultations
  • Home visits
  • Group education sessions 

Using your knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm, you will support people to develop practical nutrition plans and provide follow-up care and connection to community supports, helping ensure equitable access to quality nutrition services.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current New Zealand Dietitian registration and a current practising certificate
  • Minimum 1 year’s post-qualification experience as a Dietitian
  • Strong cultural intelligence and competence, particularly around food and nutrition across diverse communities
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within the New Zealand health sector
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • ·A clean, full driver’s licence
