About our role

Located a 75 minute drive North of Auckland in Te Arai, this role will see you working alongside the Restaurant Manager to provide world-class dining experiences in a stunning coastal setting, at one of our newest restaurants with expansive ocean views.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing skilled, efficient, and knowledgeable food and wine service

  • Ensuring the restaurant dining areas are pristine, correctly maintained and stocked and that table appointments set-ups are impeccable, maintaining presentation and flow

  • Display and uphold a graceful and proactive table service by emphasising service sequence and core standards

  • Assist in end of shift reporting 

About you

You will exceed expectations with your hospitality intuition by providing impeccable service, building rapport with members and guests, and using your meticulous attention to detail to create exceptional experiences for all.

Alongside your excellent organisational and time management skills, you will be approachable, helpful and able to problem solve. Other attributes that would contribute to your success would include: 

  • At least two years’ experience working within the hospitality industry

  • High-end hospitality experience is essential

  • Comfortable managing your own section of a restaurant

  • Extensive wine knowledge is preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superb guest service and teamwork

  • Full understanding of required sequence and standards for a high-end operation

  • Drivers license

  • Availability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends and public holidays
