Smart Environmental Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated operator to join the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) team based at the Refuse Transfer Station in Feilding.
Smart Environmental Ltd works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities providing rubbish and recycling collections. Acquired by Blue Planet and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, our mission is to divert waste from landfill.
About the Role:
This role is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of our recycling facility. You’ll be operating machinery and helping sort and process recyclable materials all while maintaining a safe worksite.
This hands-on 40 hour per week permanent role, working
Monday through to Friday, will keep you active throughout the day and offers a
great team environment, stable hours, and the chance to make a positive impact
in your local community.
Key responsibilities:
- Ability to differentiate material types
- Communicating with internal staff
- Sorting and collating recyclable materials
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety
About you:
- Holds a NZ Class 1 driver’s licence or equivalent
- Forklift licence is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong hand eye co-ordination
