We invest in our people, systems, and sites, and we value practical leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Role Title: Site ManagerRole PurposeThe Site Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. This role plays a critical part in meeting project timelines, controlling costs, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and company requirements. Working closely with the wider management team, the Site Manager contributes directly to the successful delivery of projects and the achievement of organisational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Operations & DeliveryManage and oversee all on-site activities, including construction, maintenance, and repair works.Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved plans, schedules, and specifications.Develop, implement, and manage site-specific work plans and programmes to meet project deadlines.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure all site activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation.Promote a strong safety culture on site, ensuring hazards and risks are identified and effectively managed.Maintain compliance documentation and ensure records are accurate and up to date.People & Contractor ManagementLead, manage, and motivate site staff, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve performance and quality expectations.Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.Foster positive working relationships across teams and stakeholders.Cost, Quality & Performance ControlMonitor and control project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment expenditure.Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control across all site activities.Identify potential risks, issues, or delays and implement mitigation strategies proactively.Communication & ReportingLiaise with internal departments, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.Provide regular progress, cost, and performance reports to senior management and key stakeholders.Escalate issues appropriately and contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.Skills, Experience & QualificationsMinimum of five (5 years’ experience in site management or a comparable role.Proven experience managing site operations, budgets, and project schedules.Demonstrated experience working with contractors and subcontractors.Skills & AttributesStrong leadership and people-management capability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software.
