Ground Crew – Wairarapa

PCL Contracting Ltd is a privately owned civil contracting business primarily based in Pauatahanui, Porirua with an additional yard established over the last few years in Waingawa, Wairarapa. We specialise in roading, car parks, subdivisions, drainage, asphalt, excavation and siteworks.

We have worked hard over the last 10 years to build our culture, we don’t always get it right, but we are happy to have those honest conversations, as better never stops. As a result, our people work hard, have a laugh along the way and get the job done.

We are on the search for someone with a proven track record and knowledge in the civil industry to work within one of our civil teams at our Wairarapa Branch. We have a strong focus on getting the right fit within our team, as our people are the most important part of our business. We generally work Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm, however at times you may also be required to work Saturdays and outside of these hours to help your team get the job done.

To be considered for the role PCL are looking for someone that has:

• Reliable transport to and from work with a full licence

• Have an intermediate level of experience in civil works

• A good understanding of best practice and be Health and safety minded

• Good physical fitness with ability to carry out manual handling tasks

• Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed to a quality standard

• Be drug free and undertake pre-employment screening
