Civil Class 4/5 Driver – Wellington

PCL Contracting Ltd is a privately owned civil contracting and asphalting business based in Pauatahanui, Porirua, specialising in roading, car parks, subdivisions, drainage, asphalt, excavation and siteworks.

We have worked hard over the last 10+ years to build our culture, we don’t always get it right, but we are happy to have those honest conversations, as better never stops. As a result, our people work hard, have a laugh along the way and get the job done.

We are on the search for an experienced Driver with a class 4 licence to work within our civil teams in the Wellington region. We have a strong focus on getting the right fit within our team, as our people are the most important part of our business. We generally work Monday – Friday, however at times you may also be required to work Saturdays and outside of these hours to help your team get the job done.

As a professional driver you will have experience in:

– Health and Safety in your role

– Understand and comply with all Waka Kotahi logbook and professional requirements such as weights and driving hours

– Hold a class 4 – 5 licence

– Can provide references to support your previous/current driving experience

– Have experience in a Road Ranger

– Hold our values of CRASH (Communication, Respect, Attitude, Support and Honesty)

– Be willing and able to help out on the ground if called upon when necessary

– Have experience in the civil industry, transporting mobile plant (ideal if you have experience with asphalting works also)

– Fit and able bodied as this can be a physically demanding role
