The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a motivated BI Assistant to support reporting, automation and system improvements in a dynamic and agile education environment.

You’ll work with our BI team to build Power BI dashboards, prepare data and support automation using Microsoft tools. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your skills. This role will suit someone with at least 2 years of working experience within this space. This is a full-time permanent role based at our New Lynn campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Power BI dashboards and reporting, including data preparation, cleaning and validation
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and compliance with governance standards Assist with automation using Power Automate and Power Platform tools
  • Document processes, identify automation opportunities and troubleshoot basic issues
  • Support system setup, configuration, user access and ongoing maintenance
  • Help ensure systems run securely, efficiently and reliably
  • Collaborate with teams to support improvement initiatives and enhance reporting, automation and systems

Your Background:

  • Experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboards)
  • Tertiary qualified in Data Analytics, IT or similar
  • Strong data handling skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Azure, Automation tools)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python or R
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
