We’re looking for a technically capable and customer-focused Technical Lead to join our team in Canterbury to support product integration, quoting, and technical advice across the South Island. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting business growth by working closely with our Technical and Commercial teams.

You’ll be hands-on, detail driven and enthusiastic about learning our products, supporting customers, and contributing to continuous improvement across technical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and commercial support to the existing team
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Hydroflow products
  • Support the integration of new products into existing customer channels
  • Assist with sales quoting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as part of the South Island team
  • Support on-site customer visits, training and product demonstrations as required
  • Contribute to improving technical processes, documentation and training materials
  • Assist with product testing and evaluation prior to new product launches
  • Support trade shows and industry events
  • Provide technical input into product development based on customer feedback
  • Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations and training
  • Support relationship management with key customers alongside the National Sales Manager
  • Participate in sales meetings to align technical support with sales objectives
  • Maintain accurate customer records and assist with monthly regional reporting
  • Promote teamwork and contribute positively to Hydroflow’s reputation across the region

  • A technical background or strong aptitude for understanding products and systems
  • Experience supporting sales teams with technical advice, quoting or product integration
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Confident written and verbal communication
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and energetic approach to work
  • The ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with customers and colleagues
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism
