About The Role
The Advice Coach is responsible for enhancing the capabilities of our Generate Nominated Representatives (GNRs) through focused business development, coaching, and mentoring. This role is pivotal in developing the skills and expertise of GNRs to ensure sustainable growth and solidify our position as the market leader for KiwiSaver advice.
This role will coach and mentor our GNR’s from the Central North Island to Palmerston North, so if you are based centrally, that would be ideal. Equally open to someone being in Auckland, you will be required to regularly travel to the regions.
About You
You will be a commercially astute and highly credible leader with deep experience in financial advice, ideally within KiwiSaver or wealth management. You will combine strong business development capability with hands-on coaching expertise, able to lift adviser performance through structured one-on-one engagement, set clear performance expectations, and business planning.
You will have experience in driving new business growth, improve referral generation, and enhance adviser capability, client relationship management, and effective use of tools and processes.
As a strong communicator, you will have influence, and the ability to build trust quickly with advisers to ensure engagement and sustained performance uplift. Equally important, you will bring a disciplined approach to compliance, quality assurance, and risk management.
Additionally, we value the following:
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in financial services, with a focus on providing financial advice.
• Proven track record in a coaching or training capacity, with experience in developing and delivering training programs, and leading teams of financial advisors.
• Experience in business development within financial services, demonstrating the ability to grow a client base and develop effective strategies for business expansion.
• Knowledge of KiwiSaver and Managed Fund products, advantageous
• Experience managing a large sales team in the financial services sector and/or legislative compliant environment
• Commercial acumen and an understanding of the environment in which Generate operates
