Why Join Us

We offer a competitive remuneration package aligned to your experience, along with flexible working arrangements that support a healthy balance between work and life. You will have access to health insurance and ongoing professional development, and be part of a team that values quality work, collaboration, and a positive culture.

You will be joining a multidisciplinary consultancy with strong connections across the South Island, working alongside engineers, planners, surveyors, and designers on a wide range of structural and civil projects.

Your Impact

As a CAD Designer within our Design & Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, high quality technical drawings that support engineering and architectural outcomes.

You will produce detailed CAD drawings based on inputs from engineers, surveyors, and architects, ensuring all specifications, measurements, and design requirements are met to both New Zealand standards and internal quality expectations.

You will work closely with other teams across the business, contributing to a collaborative project environment and ensuring communication is clear and timely.

You will support mentoring and training of other CAD team members where required, helping to lift capability across the team.

You will also contribute to building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to support wider business development across the company.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a CAD Designer who brings strong technical capability, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem solving.

  • You will have proven experience using AutoCAD in a structural environment and be confident producing accurate, detailed drawings from engineering inputs.
  • A working knowledge of Revit would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • You will also bring a solid understanding of relevant New Zealand design standards, including the NZ Building Code and associated standards.
  • Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage your time and priorities effectively will set you up for success in this role.
  • An interest in mentoring others and contributing to a positive team environment will also be valued.
