Description

We are looking for a motivated Illegal Dumping Operator to join our St Johns based team.

About the role

You will be part of a team maintaining our clients’ street environments.

Tasks will be varied and will include:

  • Collection and disposal of illegal dumping’s from any area, which may include but is not limited to the roadsides, including footpaths, berms, general carriageway, traffic islands and road reserves (Boundary to boundary) of major, minor and rural roads, parks and town centres
  • The collection and disposal of litter generated from illegal dumping in the areas where dumping is found.
  • Collection of animal carcasses when required
  • Sorting of illegal dumping material as required
  • Investigation/searching for evidence within the illegal dumping, e.g., bank statements with names and addresses, personal mail.
  • Completion of daily worksheets and electronic reporting of data as required
  • Completion of all administration functions as required for this position.
  • Driving of company vehicles.
  • Following Health & Safety procedures.
  • Other duties may be required from time to time

Hours of work will be 7.00 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime when required.

There is a weekly stand-by roster you will need to be part of.

About you

The successful person will have:

  • Relevant experience in the Streetscape industry,
  • Class 2 driver’s licence
  • HIAB experience and training are highly beneficial
  • Be physically fit and mobile, able to do physical work,
  • Have a commitment to health and safety.
