About the Role

Longitude 131° is seeking a Commis Chef to join our culinary team and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences in one of Australia’s most iconic luxury lodge settings.

Working alongside a talented kitchen team, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, showcasing seasonal produce and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation and presentation of dishes to a high standard
• Supporting the kitchen team in daily food service operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
• Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures
• Contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment

About You

You are passionate about food and eager to develop your culinary skills in a professional kitchen. You take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a team delivering high-quality dining experiences.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or similar role
• A strong interest in food, cooking and hospitality
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
