Operations Coordinator

Description

Turfrey are looking for a highly organised, efficient and experienced administrator to join our Wellington team. This is a pivotal role focused on coordinating our skilled plumbers, roofers and contractors to help ensure they are in the right place, at the right time, with the right materials to deliver outstanding service to our valued clients.

As a key member of the team, you will provide essential administrative support to both operational and regional teams, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll also act as a first point of contact for employees, customers and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end administrative and coordination support for projects ensuring smooth job execution.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling
  • Maintain training and competency registers, coordinate staff inductions and manage uniform procurement.
  • Support with Site-Specific Safety Plans, overseeing fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all H&S policies and procedures.

You will…

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in an administrative role (ideally within the construction industry)
  • Excel at multi-tasking and being organised
  • Be adept using technology– knowledge of simPRO would be advantageous but not essential
  • Be an outstanding communicator, both written and verbal
  • Have a proven track record of building constructive relationships and working with a wide range of people
  • Be resilient, embrace change and the opportunities it can bring
