Artisan Stone delivers of a range of premium natural stone, quartz and porcelain benchtops and other surfaces for residential and commercial projects. We are a long-established South Island owned and operated business combining expert craftsmanship and innovative technology in the delivery of a range of granite, marble and quartz products for New Zealand’s leading architects, designers, joiners, and builders.

About the role:

We are looking for an additional installer to join our Wanaka team, we are open to both experienced stone benchtop installers and candidates who have come from roles where you bring transferable skills. You will enjoy the support of a strong local team of experienced craftsmen who operate as the Southern Lakes Regional branch, and our wider Team based at our production facility in Christchurch.

Key responsibilities:

• Taking ownership of the Installation of each project, ensuring every task is completed efficiently, safely, and to the high standards expected by Artisan Stone and our customers.

• Managing and participating in the lifting, movement, and placement of stone with a strong focus on safe handling practices and utilising the array of equipment supplied to make each lift as safe and secure as possible.

What We’re Looking For:

• Benchtop installation experience preferred, templating experience would be a bonus.

• A practical mindset with great attention to detail.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong physical fitness, as heavy lifting is a key part of the role.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and team members.

We welcome applicants with a background in stone templating or fabrication who are looking to progress to installation, alongside candidates who have come from roles where you could bring your transferrable skills, such as a joinery, carpentry, glass installation or similar. If you consider yourself a craftsman and have experience working with tools along with the drive to learn a new trade we encourage you to apply.

Please note, as a primarily ‘business to business’ operation within the construction sector we enjoy a 3-week close down over the Christmas period.
