WHAT YOU’LL DO

Based out of our Christchurch or Palmerston North office, you will work in a varied property role, contributing to the delivery of public works transactions related to the divestment of land, undertaking property and land-related research and due diligence, and preparing a range of statutory reports. You will work closely with members of the National property team and apply your knowledge across a range of infrastructure projects for our clients, strengthening relationships and enhancing the company’s brand and reputation.

Key tasks associated with the role will include:

  • Supporting and delivering transactions for key clients, focusing on the divestment of land and property assets via the Public Works Act and Local Government Act.
  • Undertaking property due diligence, scoping and research.
  • Preparing reports for Crown agencies, local and regional councils, and infrastructure companies.
  • Providing quality technical property input to support and achieve desired outcomes for all parties.
  • Engaging and coordinating third-party suppliers and clients, including lawyers, real estate agents, valuers and surveyors.
  • Managing, auditing and upkeeping property databases and systems.
  • Project coordination, tracking and reporting

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALITIES

The role will suit a highly motivated and talented experienced Junior or Intermediate property professional who wants to develop and grow their technical skills in the area of consultancy services, focusing on property disposal and technical land and property matters.

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, attention to detail, land and property research skills, a natural ability to build relationships, demonstrate strong property knowledge, and have an appetite to learn and grow in this field. You will have the ability to work autonomously and as a team, have a naturally inquisitive mindset and above all, a collaborative approach – someone who is committed to contributing positively to both the company and our culture.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in property or law, or equivalent and relevant industry experience in the property sector.
  • A strong understanding of property processes and the land title system.
  • Excellent report writing and research skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism,
  • A good skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel and MS Project.
  • Full current driving license and full New Zealand residency or citizenship.
