About the Role
We’re looking for a Principal Consultant – Managed Services to provide hands-on technical leadership across our Managed and Cloud Services portfolio. This role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, making considered technical decisions, and building positive, long-term client relationships.
You’ll work closely with clients to understand their environments, translate business goals into practical technology roadmaps, and ensure solutions align with Advantage standards and best-practice frameworks.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain client technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, acting as a strategic technical advisor.
- Provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially sound technical recommendations.
- Maintain oversight of complex client environments, ensuring security and reliability.
- Identify risks and improvement opportunities early and support resolution.
- Work closely with internal delivery teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, assessing their relevance and value to clients.
- Act as the final technical escalation point for senior engineers during complex incidents, major issues, or high-risk changes, providing direction and assurance.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent experience.
- Deep and broad technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, and enterprise networking platforms (for example, Aruba).
- Proven experience designing, leading, and governing the delivery of complex Microsoft-based solutions in enterprise or MSP environments.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in senior technical, advisory, or consulting roles within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT consultancy environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
- Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Dynamics 365).
- Experience with security frameworks, cloud governance, and compliance.
- Exposure to modern workplace solutions and MSP tooling.
