GM – Finance will play a pivotal role in overseeing the group finance function. This position is essential for ensuring financial integrity, strategic planning, and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive executive experience and a strong understanding of the logistics sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the group’s objectives and growth plans
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage cashflow and working capital to optimise financial performance
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Collaborate with operating divisions of the group to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the group
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholder.
About you:
- Tertiary qualified, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- 10+ years in accounting, ideally with experience of the ports or logistics industries
- Proven ability to lead teams, implement strategies and continuously self-improve
- Proficiency in financial software and business tools, with advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
