Forklift Operator / Yardperson

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Yardperson to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role responsible for container handling, yard coordination, equipment maintenance support, and ensuring efficient loading and unloading activities.

This position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and takes pride in maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Current Forklift License (OSH and F Endorsement – preferably Class 2)
  • Experience with container handling / loading and unloading trucks
  • Accredited Person (AP) Certificate (Open and devan containers)
  • Manual handling (up to 30kg)
  • Welding, grinding, painting and basic repair skills preferred
  • Surveyor experience or willingness to train (Cargo Worthy – used and IICL – new build), Becoming a recognized surveyor – Maritime NZ
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
