Workflows and Automation
Workflow triggers made consistent

We’ve made setting up your automated processes even smoother by standardising all workflow trigger descriptions. Now, they’re clear and consistent across all workflows and automations, including expenses, leave, onboarding and more, making configuration a breeze.
Workflow Approvals simplified
(Available to Platinum, Plus and Unlimited)
Our latest update brings simplified leave approval, expenses and employee file change workflows. The new “Request Approval” action handles all approval logic in one go, making your HR automation clearer, faster to set up, and much less prone to misconfiguration.

Probation Review Workflow improvement

Our improved Probation Review workflow now gives you the option to include existing employees whose trigger date falls after the workflow’s publish date. This makes it easier to manage reviews and ensures a more seamless experience for everyone.

Workflow management permission update

Workflow management is no longer just for full admins. With new permissions in Custom Security Settings, your administrators can empower HR admins, department heads, and IT leads to directly view, modify, or delete workflows.

The brand new Benefits Report is here

We’ve introduced a brand-new Benefits Management Report, allowing you to see all your benefits and assigned employees in one handy place. You can also export the data as a CSV if needed.
CSV export improvements
(Available to all subscription tiers)
Our enhanced CSV export experience now features progressive downloads with real-time progress. Plus, you can resume interrupted downloads and quickly re-download recent files. Get your data faster and with less hassle. This is available on standard reports.
CSS reporting permissions
(Available to all subscription tiers)
We’ve separated the ‘People,’ ‘Performance,’ and ‘Time’ CSS report permissions, giving you greater flexibility. Now you can assign report access with precision, making sure everyone sees just what they need to.
Security and Access
Logging in with Google Single Sign-On (SSO)
(Available to Platinum)
We’ve enhanced our Google SAML SSO experience, transforming your two-step login into a seamless, single-click process when accessing your Employment Hero HR account on the web.
Recovery codes for Payroll Web
(Available to all Payroll subscription tiers)
We’ve introduced recovery codes for 2-Factor Authentication (2FA). If you ever have trouble receiving your regular 2FA code, these handy recovery codes offer a reliable backup, keeping your payroll access smooth and secure. Once a recovery code is used, another will be generated.
Security group restriction settings
(Available to Platinum, Plus and Unlimited)
We’re rolling out more flexible security permissions. You can now restrict security groups to specific employee locations, giving you precise control over who sees what.

Update to account recovery process
(Available to all subscription tiers)
We’ve made an update to account recovery. Now, when verifying your identity, you’ll simply take one selfie holding your ID and a note with “Employment Hero” and the current date. It’s a small change for much stronger protection.

Improved Payroll password recovery

We’ve made a small but mighty update to make Payroll password recovery smoother. Now, if you’ve already typed your email in on the login screen, it’ll magically appear on the password recovery page.

Assign Employment Hero Owner role within Company Settings

We’ve introduced new tools in Company Settings that empower you to manage organisation owners with ease. Designate multiple owners, choose a primary contact, and streamline transitions, all while boosting security.

Employee management and Communication
Recognition approval email improvements
(Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited)
Recognition approvers now receive one handy daily email at 4 PM local time, summarising all pending recognitions. This is designed to streamline approvals, reduce inbox clutter and keep everything organised and easy to track.

Email notification management

Admins can now customise notifications for employee address and name changes. Simply head to Notification Settings to toggle these new options on or off – they’re off by default for a quieter experience.

New: Benefits Library

Our exciting new Benefits Library is here. Explore a curated collection of ready-to-use benefit templates, from meal allowances to birthday leave, making it easier than ever to build fantastic perks for your team.
Roster Rules and Warnings improvements
(Available to all Payroll subscription tiers)
We’ve updated the Roster Rules and Warnings settings with clearer labels and better organisation. Plus, we’ve added new warn and block parameters and the maximum weekly work hours setting, giving you even more control over your schedules.

Improved Custom Forms

Our Custom Forms just got a significant uplift. You can now effortlessly duplicate existing forms, saving you loads of time and effort. Plus, we’ve added a handy confirmation if you try to exit a form with unsaved changes, so you’ll never accidentally lose your hard work.
Enhanced privacy when offboarding employees
(Available to all subscription tiers)
We’ve made a small but important update to enhance privacy during offboarding. Now, when an employee is leaving, their “Rehire Status” will no longer be visible to them on the employee list. It’s all about ensuring a smooth and private transition for everyone.

Easily close and reopen jobs

Managing your job postings just got easier with new close and reopen functionalities directly on the EH Hiring Kanban Dashboard. Keep your job board tidy by marking positions as ‘closed’ and seamlessly bring them back to ‘open’ when needed.
App and Performance
Upgrades to EH Work App
(Available to all subscription tiers)
We’ve given the EH Work app a significant upgrade which means snappier performance, enhanced stability, and a reduced app size for Android users.

Your employees no longer need to log into the HR platform just to update their work eligibility. Now, they can effortlessly manage their residency, passport, and visa details right from the EH Work App.
