Expanded Open API access

We’re expanding our Open API, starting with an update that gives you more control and flexibility. This initial release enhances our developer documentation and adds the ability to read work eligibility fields.
Hero API enhancements
Available to EOS Lite, Plus and Unlimited subscription tiers
We’ve introduced a new version of the Tax Declaration API with more regional-specific fields and added new fields to the Employee API for employment and contractor details. You can now also filter your employee lists by type (employee or contractor) and access a new API for contractor job histories.
More flexibility with updated OpenAPI
Available to Classic Platinum and EOS Plus and Unlimited subscription tiers
We’ve updated our OpenAPI to give you access to new employee pay details and a brand new V2 API for regional bank details. These changes provide more flexibility and data to help you build powerful integrations.

Improved two-way Performance Reviews

We’ve updated our performance reviews to be more flexible. We’ve added new features for 9-box assessments to create greater visibility around performance and succession planning in the employee lifecycle.
Default shift detail settings
Available to Classic Platinum and EOS Lite, Plus and Unlimited subscription tiers
Speed up your rostering with this new feature. Set default shift details for your worksites and they’ll automatically populate, helping you create rosters faster and with fewer errors.
Workflows and Automation
Streamlined Offer Management process

We’re launching a new, streamlined offer letter management experience directly within the HR platform. Employers can now easily create, manage, revise and rescind offers, while candidates enjoy a clear, interactive process for viewing and responding to offers.
Simplified Workflow Automation

We’ve added new entry points in key areas like the Dashboard and Employee File, so you can find the perfect automation templates right when you need them.
Benefits Management trigger in workflow

Say goodbye to manual employee benefit updates. Our new feature lets you automate key tasks, emails and approval requests whenever an employee’s benefits data in Benefits Management changes. This means you can now create seamless, automated workflows tailored to your team’s needs.
Updated Workflows navigation

We’ve updated the navigation so you can get straight to managing your workflows with fewer clicks, saving you time and effort. Templates are still there, ready when you need them.
Introduced Blackout Periods for Leave Requests
Available to all subscription tiers
Take control of busy periods with our new “Blackout Periods” feature. You can now easily block out dates to prevent employees from requesting leave, reducing manual overhead and ensuring your team is ready for critical business periods.
Compliance and Document Management
Simplified Compliance menu

We’ve given the Compliance menu a significant refresh to simplify your document management. Enjoy clearer labels, a more intuitive menu structure and find Certifications neatly grouped under Compliance. It’s all about making your daily tasks smoother and more efficient.
New Custom Form templates

Tired of rebuilding forms from scratch? Our new custom templates feature lets you save, manage and reuse form structures. This makes creating new forms easier and faster than ever before.
New Employee ‘Forms’ page

Your employees can now find and start forms on their own with the new “Forms” page. This update saves valuable time, allowing your team to complete common tasks and sign-ups without needing an admin to manually assign forms.

We’ve introduced powerful new features for managing form lifecycles, so you can easily archive outdated forms, delete unused ones and organise everything with new categories. Keeping your workspace tidy has never been easier.
Retain Employee Position data

We’ve added the ability to activate and deactivate positions instead of completely unassigning them. This helps you keep a clean record of historical data while making your workflow smoother.
Reports
Sickness Report updates

We’ve updated the Sickness Report to give you a more consistent and efficient experience. With consolidated filters and updated terminology, this change makes reporting easier and more intuitive.
Payroll
Update to account recovery process
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve made an update to account recovery. Now, when verifying your identity, you’ll simply take one selfie holding your ID and a note with “Employment Hero” and the current date. It’s a small change for much stronger protection.
Improved password recovery
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve made a small but mighty update to make it smoother. Now, if you’ve already typed your email on the login screen, it’ll magically appear on the password recovery page. A tiny tweak for a little more ease.
Passwordless login for Payroll Web
Available to all subscription tiers
We’re excited to introduce Passkeys for Payroll Web, a new passwordless login option that makes signing in simpler and more secure than ever. Set up a passkey in your account security settings and start logging in with just a tap. It’s the future of secure, seamless access.
Security enhancement for suspicious logins
Available to all subscription tiers
We’re always working to keep your data safe. We’ve introduced a new security layer that detects suspicious logins from impossible travel locations, requiring a quick email verification step to keep your account secure.
Account recovery updates
Available to Standard and Premium subscription tiers
Keeping your account secure is our priority. We’ve made it easier for admins to manage passkeys and streamlined our account recovery process. Now, if you ever need to reset your account, both your passkeys and 2FA methods will be updated.
Improved Contractor Portal
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve refined the contractor experience to make it clearer and more intuitive for everyone including the ability for Restricted Access Users to now manage Contractors. Contractors can now also be granted access to the portal with a tailored view showing only what they need. We’ve also updated our portal terminology to be more inclusive.
