Description
Support Workers – Community Access & SIL
At Zest Project Co, we do disability support a bit differently.
We’re not about just filling shifts. For us, it’s all about building real relationships, being practical, and
making a proper difference in someone’s day-to-day life.
We support participants across Adelaide, including the Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern suburbs.
About Us
We’re a South Australian NDIS-registered provider offering disability support, Supported Independent Living, and allied health. Everything we do is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
We live by three basic values: Hungry, Humble, and Smart.
- Hungry – willing to learn, improve and take initiative.
- Humble – respectful, open to feedback and willing to work as part of a team.
- Smart – thoughtful in how we communicate, make decisions and respond to challenges.
We hold high standards because we care about the quality of support our participants get every single day.
The Roles
We’re growing and looking for Full-Time and Casual Support Workers across two different areas.
1. Support Worker – Community Access
This role is all about helping people get out and about and live full lives. You’ll support participants to get into their local community, build everyday skills, try new things, and work towards what matters to them.

- Helping build independence and everyday life skills
- Being a calm, steady presence for daily routines and emotional regulation
- Following positive behaviour support plans
- Driving participants to activities and appointments
- Writing clear, respectful case notes and keeping families and allied health teams in the loop
Who you are: You’ll fit right in if you have experience in disability support, or relevant lived or volunteer experience that helps you connect with people easily. We work with folks from all walks of life, including neurodivergent people, LGBTQIA+ community members, and culturally diverse backgrounds; so, respecting who people are and how they communicate is essential.
(Note: Experience with seizure management, Midazolam, diabetes management, or subcutaneous injections is a big plus)
