The Opportunity:

The Y NT is seeking experienced and passionate OSHC Educators who will also take on the Responsible Persons role, to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) teams across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a values-driven not-for-profit organisation while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

The role is part-time (27 hours per week) with split shifts, offering flexibility and balance to support your lifestyle.

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator / Responsible person to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. This part-time, permanent position is ideal for individuals looking to make a positive impact in early childhood education. The Educator / Responsible person will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, while collaborating with families and professionals to support each child’s development and learning journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily operation of OSHC services in line with NQF and service policies.
  • Act as a Responsible Person when rostered
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, schools, and colleagues
  • Create engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environments
  • Mentor and support other educators within the service
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and quality standar

Qualifications:

  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) and CPR.
  • Certificate III in Children’s Services (or higher)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in OSHC
  • Demonstrated understanding of OSHC frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
