An opportunity exits to join YFS’ Domestic and Family Violence Team to deliver the psychoeducational program Diffuse in Correctional Centres across Queensland.

Diffuse consists of seven, two-hour sessions and uses strengths-based and trauma-informed practices that provide resources, tools, and information to participants to address domestic and family violence.

About the job

Role location:    Lockyer Valley, Maryborough, Wacol, Townsville  

Role type:           Permanent, Part-time – 32hours per week  

Pay range:          $58.37 an hour, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available  

In this role you will:

Work closely with a co-facilitator to provide a culturally safe, strengths-based and trauma-informed group environment, supporting participant engagement, reflection and learning. Through a psychoeducational approach, you will provide an opportunity for reflection on relationship experiences and exploring what is and is not healthy.

About you

• Are driven to end domestic and family violence for all people and build the belief and motivation in men towards a safer future free of violence
• Have experience in delivering psychoeducation and group facilitation.
• Have experience in working with men using domestic and family violence.
• Deep understanding and evidence in practice of the gendered nature of domestic and family violence.
• Thrive in a team that engages in critical self-reflection and accountable practice within a pro-feminist framework.
