Our Whanganui warehouse is at the heart of this transformation and we’re looking for a resilient, forward-thinking Operations Supervisor to help take our warehouse to the next level. This is not a “business as usual” warehouse role. The Opportunity Our Whanganui warehouse plays a critical role in how we support healthcare across New Zealand and is central to our ongoing investment in automation and operational capability. It’s a brand-new, custom-built facility, and is the heart of our operation. As we enter the next phase of our automation journey, our immediate focus is on optimising dispatch performance, creating repeatable success in daily dispatch operations, and preparing the operation to scale as volumes continue to grow. In this role, you will take ownership of dispatch operations within a partially automated environment, providing strong day-to-day leadership, performance discipline, and team support while automation capability is progressively enhanced. As automation becomes more established, you will help guide the transition to a more automated dispatch operation, helping ensure performance is not compromised during the transition, and establishing processes that are practical & work for the team. In the longer term, the scope of this role will expand across broader areas of warehouse operations, including inbound, kitting, and inventory control, offering progression and increased responsibility for the right leader. This is an opportunity for an experienced distribution leader to make a meaningful impact in a growing, service-critical operation, while building capability for the future. What You Will Be Doing Lead daily inbound, outbound and dispatch operations in a high-SKU, fast-paced distribution environment Scale dispatch capability in line with business growth Build repeatable, reliable processes as volumes increase Manage order cut-offs, dispatch priorities and exceptions in a service-critical environment Stabilise operations first, then drive continuous improvement as automation matures Monitor automation performance, exceptions and downtime, escalating and resolving issues. Drive inventory accuracy, cycle counts and stock integrity. Partner with customer service, sales and logistics providers to meet service commitments. Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. What We Are Looking For Essential Experience supervising teams in a distribution or FMCG-style warehouse Proven experience supporting dispatch growth, increased volumes or expanded service windows Comfortable leading teams in environments with daily variability, tight deadlines and operational pressure Strong coaching skills with confidence running performance and accountability conversations Solid understanding of health & safety in a high-activity warehouse Highly Regarded Experience in medical, healthcare, or regulated distribution Exposure to warehouse automation, robotics or advanced WMS Experience stabilising operations during periods of growth or change Why Join Amtech Medical?
