Description

Helping people, places and systems work together

At Wyanga Aboriginal Aged Care, we believe ageing should happen with dignity, connection, culture and choice.

For 30 years Wyanga has walked alongside Aboriginal Elders, supporting people to remain safe, independent and connected to family, community and culture while continuing to live in their own homes.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and practical Operations Coordinator to help keep Wyanga running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is not your typical office administration role.

You’ll be the person helping bring order to the moving pieces – keeping the office organised, coordinating operational priorities, supporting systems and records, making sure vehicles and facilities are looked after, following up what needs to happen and helping managers and teams stay on track.

You’ll often be the person who notices the things others miss.

The person who spots a problem before it becomes one. The one who follows things through, keeps people informed and helps make sure day-to-day operations run smoothly so our teams can focus on supporting Elders and community.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same.

You’ll support the day-to-day operations of Wyanga through a mix of office coordination, organisational support and practical problem-solving, including:

  • Coordinating day-to-day office operations and front-of-house activities
  • Supporting meetings, documents, communication and organisational coordination
  • Coordinating facilities, contractors, maintenance and workplace readiness
  • Helping maintain vehicle servicing, registrations and operational readiness
  • Supporting systems, records, data entry and organisational administration
  • Assisting with onboarding, office setup and operational logistics
  • Supporting implementation of procedures, systems and organisational improvements
  • Following up actions and helping keep priorities moving

Who we’re looking for

You’re highly organised, practical and proactive.

You like structure, but you’re comfortable when things change. You notice details, follow things through and don’t wait to be told what to do.

You’re someone who enjoys variety and can comfortably move between administration, organisation, coordination and problem-solving.

You might come from office coordination, operations support, administration, project coordination, business support or a similar environment — but more importantly, you’re someone who gets things done.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Are highly organised and dependable
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can juggle competing priorities without losing the details
  • Enjoy improving systems, processes and ways of working
  • Are comfortable coordinating contractors, logistics and follow-up actions
  • Are warm, professional and culturally respectful
  • Bring initiative, common sense and a solutions-focused mindset

Why Wyanga?

At Wyanga, you’re not just joining a workplace – you’re joining a community.

You’ll be part of an organisation committed to supporting Aboriginal Elders to live well, remain independent and stay connected to what matters most.

This role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to genuinely contribute to an organisation making a difference every day.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Salary based on skills, experience and suitability for the role
  • Access to generous not-for-profit salary packaging benefits
  • Opportunity to grow, contribute and build your capability within a supportive team environment

Location: Redfern, NSW Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
