Field Safety Advisor – Oil and Gas Well Servicing

About the Role

Wild Desert is an industry leader in well servicing rigs, transport operations, and mobile camps in Australia’s oil and gas sector.

We need an exceptional Field Safety Advisor to join our team. You will report to the HSEQ Manager. You will drive real safety change, ensure compliance, and support our operations on a balanced 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO roster.

What You Will Do

• Lead and inspire teams to follow best-practice HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) processes.
• Ensure compliance with current safety laws and company rules.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to fix issues early.
• Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks that connect with field crews.
• Investigate incidents to find root causes and stop them from happening again.
• Drive new strategies for continuous safety improvement.

What You Bring to the Table

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Hands-on experience with risk management and HSEQ systems.

The Essentials:

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to get it).
• Current, manual C-class driver’s licence.
• National Police Clearance and Traffic History check.
• Training in 4WD, First Aid/CPR, Gas Test Atmospheres, and Wellsite Permit to Work (or willingness to get it).
